Bowling Club Electrical Testing / EICR / Safety Certificates
Bowling Clubs in Glasgow & across Scotland need to have an Electrical Installation Condition Report completed annually. This is important for protecting members, guests & staff by showing compliance with the Electricity at Work 1989 Act.
An electrical safety certificate is also required for bowling clubs to keep their license for serving alcohol.
Our Electrical Installation Condition Reports are very comprehensive. If there are any potential dangers to staff or guests, they will be fully detailed…giving the club the chance to fix a potential issue, before someone is hurt (or worse). Assuming the test is passed, the safety certificate will also help prevent the club from losing the license to serve alcohol.
If you’d like more information on electrical testing in bowling clubs, please get in touch & we will be able to answer your questions or arrange an electrical test.
LEDs / Energy Efficient Lighting
Bowling clubs across Glasgow & the rest of Scotland are upgrading to LED lighting systems for a number of reasons:
- energy consumption & bill can be reduced by up to 70%
- longer life spans of bulbs
- reduced maintenance
- more environmentally friendly
- flexibility to accommodate functions & events
Over the years, we’ve given lighting advice to bowling clubs in Glasgow, Ayrshire, Stirling & Edinburgh. We usually start by discussing what you’re hoping to achieve & assess your current energy consumption. After that, we could design a new lighting system & forecast the potential reduction in bills, energy consumption & carbon footprint
Electrical Maintenance
Frequently, something electrical just stops working at a bowling club. It could be a power socket, one light or a desk losing power. Whenever something happens, it needs fixing – fast. We will quickly find the cause of the problem, and get things running again asap. If something’s currently not working as it should at your bowling club, please get in touch.
Bowling Club Car Park & Security Lighting
We are experts in car park lighting & security lighting for bowling clubs.
It’s important that your car park is illuminated correctly i.e. easy to navigate the entrance, exit, read signs & park safely. Similarly, all routes & walkways from the car park & around the bowling club need to have adequate lighting.
A decent security lighting system is also a great deterrent to criminal activity taking place in the clubhouse or car park.
Firstly, if there are any problems with your car park or security lighting, give us a call. We are very good at general maintenance & repairs. We’ll also happily check that the lighting in your car park meets British Standards BS EN 12464 and BS 5489:2013.
Finally, if you’re looking at reducing the overheads of your bowling club & reducing your carbon footprint, it may be worth considering upgrading the lighting. Energy consumption & bills can be reduced massively by moving to LEDs. Introducing sensors & smart technology can reduce energy consumption even further (and there are lots of incentives available to help businesses reduce their carbon footprint by making the switch).
We can carry out a free lighting survey & design to assess your current consumption & show the potential savings an upgraded system could deliver.
Whether you’re looking for a simple repair or upgrading your car park or security lighting, please give us a call.
