Office LED Lights:
Design, Installation & Maintenance
Office LED Lighting Specialists
Reduce Energy Costs
Energy-efficient LED lighting can reduce office energy bills by up to 70%, which quickly recovers any costs.
Better Light Quality
The improved illumination that comes with LEDs, can create a far better working environment for both staff & visitors.
Reduced Maintenance Costs
We only specify & install high-quality products, which can reduce traditional office maintenance costs by up to 75%.
By combing sensors with LEDs, office lights are triggered by people, which further reduces power consumption.
LED Lighting – Things To Consider For Your Office
Office lighting should accomplish more than just the task of providing light. It should be controllable, energy-efficient, cost-efficient and illuminate to impress.
Many offices in Scotland are turning to LED lighting, for a number of reasons. Good office lighting is a vital part of creating the ideal working conditions for staff; studies have shown good lighting can even increase performance. In customer-facing offices, good lighting can also help create the ‘wow’ factor for your clients and visitors.
However, for a lot of offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh & across the central belt, a big reason for moving to led lights is financial. Energy-efficient LEDs, with smart controls, can massively reduce energy bills & the carbon footprint.
We work with offices to initially assess their requirements & current energy consumption through a free lighting & energy audit. We then design & propose a lighting solution that ticks all the boxes in terms of producing optimum lighting whilst reducing costs.
Our solutions can range from the simple retro-fitting of LEDs & upgrades, to new installations.
Office LEDs: Is it worth changing?
A lot of offices are still using fluorescent lights – they were easy to install in suspended ceilings & can light large areas. However, one of the main issues with fluorescent tubes is the quality of light can be inconsistent; bulbs are prone to flickering & they become dimmer with age. This, combined with problems such as buzzing, means they are far from the ideal choice for a modern office.
The cost element is due to the inefficiency of the bulbs. In simple terms, they use far more electricity to produce light than LEDs. With a far shorter shelf-life, they need to be replaced more frequently, which results in much higher maintenance costs. Lastly, older lighting systems waste a lot of power, simply by being on unnecessarily i.e. when part of a room, or even a whole room, are not being used.
LED lighting technology provides many benefits thanks to the new industrial products available. A modern LED light fitting can provide an impressive lifetime of 50,000 hours (5+ years). To put this into perspective, a traditional fluorescent tube will only last up to 20,000 hours. The end result is a huge reduction (up to 75%) in maintenance costs over traditional lighting.
We also combine office LED light fittings with dimming controls and occupancy detection. This means that lights are only triggered by people & the brightness increases daylight decreases.
Ultimately, an office is left with an efficient lighting solution that uses minimum power with the maximum light output. We then complete a second audit to confirm the energy & carbon reduction.
