Project: Exterior safety lighting
Date: December 2021
Location: Our Lady Of Good Counsel Church in Glasgow

Project Detail
It was great to be back at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Dennistoun, Glasgow to install some exterior lighting.
The main reason was to improve the illumination of stairs which would make accessing the building safer for visitors.
As this beautiful church is in a residential area, we were also asked to provide a solution that would not inconvenience the neighbours.
The system we installed was 3 x 150w ground level LEDs, which are on a dedicated 7-day timer. This provides great illumination for the stairs, keeps the lights low for the neighbours & also means the lights are only on when visitors are expected. You can see the difference the lights make in the gallery below.
When the lights are on in the evening however, an extra benefit is how the lights help the beautiful architecture of this listed building stand out (it was designed by Gillespie, Kidd & Coia) .
