Project: Garden Lighting Design & Installation
Date: September, 2021
Location: Old Drumchapel, Glasgow

Project Detail
The customers have a long garden with a secluded decking area at the bottom. Their main aim was to provide some gentle illumination to allow them to spend more time in the garden as the nights get shorter.
Our design took in to account how the garden would look from both directions i.e. when looking back at the house from the decked area & also when looking down the garden from the house.
The final design included:
- 3 spotlights to for the large tree on the left
- 2 spotlights for the tree on the right
- 1 spotlight for the large tree in the corner
- copper up & down wall lights (fitted high on the fence to illuminate the foliage above)
- fairly lights over the pergola
- ip65 outdoor socket
Before the cables & lights could be installed, deep trenches were dug around the garden to ensure the cables were buried at a safe depth (the customer dug the trenches).
All of the lights can be operated independently by remote control to create different moods. The up & down wall lights look fantastic & do a great job highlighting the foliage. Lastly, the spotlights illuminate the large trees from different angles, which help create texture & shadows from all angles.
